How do I place an order?

To view products and place an order, simply press the shop tab at the top of the page and you will see a comprehensive list of different categories.  These will take you to the many products available to you.  You will then be able to add them to your shopping basket.

 

What about delivery?

All items are sent first class by Royal Mail.  There is a flat fee of £1.50 for this.

 

How green is the packaging?

I am very keen that the packaging I use has as little impact on the environment as possible.  For this reason, your earrings will come in a small, sturdy cardboard box filled with cotton.  I do not use jiffy envelopes due to the plastic content, but ones made of firm brown paper.

 

Are the materials ethically sourced?

It is important to me that any materials I use are as ethically sourced as possible.  For this reason, I only use suppliers which are able to demonstrate a strong ethos.  The supplier I use is able to demonstrate a commitment to fair trade in their supply line.

 

What are the metal beads and hooks made of?

All metal which forms a decorative part of the earring, i.e., beads, tubes and ear hooks, are made of Sterling Silver.  The only metal part of the earring which is not silver is the pin the earring is built on for which I use silver plated steel as it is stronger.  These components are too small to bear a hallmark, but they are sourced from a reputable and well-established company.  The hooks, though, are stamped with the 925 silver mark. 

 

Will the silver tarnish?

Yes, all silver tarnishes as it comes into contact with moisture and the elements due to its copper content.  To learn more about keeping your silver clean see my blog post here.

 

How should I clean and care for my jewellery?

For most earrings using a good quality silver dip is enough to remove tarnish.  Care should be taken with some materials such as organic gemstones (pearls and sea bamboo) for which a silver polishing cloth will do the trick.  For more information on how to keep your silver clean see my blog post here. 

 

How do I know the measurements of my jewellery?

You will find the total length of each earring in its description.  I measure my earrings from the top of the hook to the bottom of the piece, so the total length of the earring starts from the point of your piercing.

 

What about returns and refunds?

I am sure you won’t want to return your jewellery!  If, for some reason you need to, I will accept a refund within 28 days of your purchase.  For hygiene reasons, all earrings which are returned to me will not be resold but dismantled.
